7 Ways To 1000 List in 3 Weeks
Step 1: Get Focused & Have The Correct Mindset
The first step is very important. You have to get focused and in the right state of mind. You need to be focused on the end result, which is growing your email list.
As simple as it sounds, this is where all beginners screw up. It’s like a basketball player trying to make a basket without actually shooting the ball.
You can’t just say, “I want to get as many subscribers as possible!” – You need to set some goals for yourself.
How many subscribers do you want?
When are the subscribers are going to buy from you?
How much money are you going to spend to build your list
Keep track of your goals, it gives you something to strive for!
The Ultimate Goal
Your ultimate goal should be to provide value to your subscribers. If you’re looking to make money from your list (which you should be) then you will need to provide high value.
It doesn’t matter how big your list is – if you aren’t of any value, they won’t buy a single item from you. Be someone who excels at value and you will notice your list grows easier.
Step 2: Take Action
Don’t wait around. There never is a ‘perfect moment’ to start building your list, do it now. You don’t need those graphics, funnel or copy. The only ‘perfect moment’ is when it involves you taking action. Action produces results and that’s exactly what we are looking for, so get started.
Step 3: You Need A Landing Page
To be able to start collecting emails, you need a place where someone can subscribe to your list.
The truth is, building a list only requires 2 things at the bare minimum.
A landing page
A traffic source

I don’t believe that you need a bribe to get people to opt in. (free report, video, etc) I’m not saying that you shouldn’t have one, I just don’t think it’s a necessity. I’ve seen a lot of people have a landing page that signs people up for their monthly newsletter.
I recommend using a two using a two step for your optin on your landing pages A two-step optin is when the visitor takes an action, showing interest, before being presented with an optin form. So instead of being slammed with optin forms all over the place, they will never actually see an optin form until they choose to do so.
An example would be to have an image in your sidebar that says, “Click here to download my latest secrets” – and once they actually click the image, a popup optin form will appear.
Another example would be to include hyperlinks inside of your articles or posts. If you have an article that talks about how to build a doghouse, somewhere in the article you can say, “you can click here to go ahead and download my blueprint for this specific doghouse” – and once they click that hyperlink, an optin form appears!
This has been tested and proven to increase conversions since the visitor is already showing interest and taking action before the form even appears. There are plugins that allow you to implement this sort of functionality with only a few clicks of your mouse.

Step 4: Getting Targeted Traffic
This is probably the biggest issue for all entrepreneurs. There are a million and one traffic products and they can’t seem to focus in on just one strategy to drive traffic!
As you know, there are tons of sources for traffic. If you are just starting out and you are looking for a cheap but effective source – I recommend Solo Ads.
This is by far the quickest way to test your squeeze page and see results. If you don’t know, a solo ad is when you pay someone (in your niche) who already has an email list in your niche. That person will send an email to their subscribers with a link to your landing page and you only pay if someone visits your website.
The average cost of this is usually .20-.50 per click. Not a bad way to test your landing page and collect some emails!
Issues you may face with buying Solo Ads
Where do you find solo ad sellers?
How do you know if they are trust worthy?
Do I write the email or do they?
What if I get scammed and lose my money?
As with anything in life, there is a right way and a wrong way to buy solo ads. That’s why I recommend you read a proven course that takes you by the hand and shows you how to do it the right way.

Step 5: Split Test
Now that you have traffic coming to your landing page, you need to split test your pages. Split testing is the easiest way to double your opt in rates overnight.
A split test is when you have 2 different versions of your landing page and you track to see which one is converting better.
For example, a few split tests you could run are:
Changing a few words in the headline
Changing the color of the background
Adjusting the size of the text
Changing your call to action
Once you find a page that converts better, you trash the other page and start a new split test. In a perfect world, you will never stop split testing. Keep testing and keep increasing your opt in rate.
Step 6: Retargeting The Non-Subscribers
Not everyone will subscribe to your landing page when they see it. We all know that. But that doesn’t mean you should just let them go forever. I started to retarget the prospects that left my website without signing up and it has more than doubled my email list.
What is retargeting?
Retargeting is when you place a code on your landing page and whoever visits your website will have a cookie placed on their browser. Now, whenever they visit other websites, you can advertise directly to them because of that cookie.
Pretty sweet right?
So when someone visits my website and they decide they don’t want to join my email list, I can show ads to them on Facebook, CNN, HuffingtonPost, etc saying – “Hey, why didn’t you join my email list? Come back!”
Of course I can get a little more detailed, but you get the idea. This builds brand recognition and helps you become an instant authority. So how do you do that? I recommend a site called Perfect Audience.
They specialize in retargeting and that’s the site I use. Of course, as I mentioned above, if you don’t know what you are doing – you can waste a lot of money setting up your retargeting campaigns. Step 7: Rinse & Repeat
Now that you have your landing page going, you are sending solo ad traffic and you are retargeting lost leads – it’s time to duplicate the process!
